I have to admit, I’m a bit nervous about this one.
This is something I haven’t really talked about to many people at all. It’s not something I find easy to disclose or discuss. I guess it’s precisely because of that, that I think it is so important that I do discuss it.
I have an eating disorder. Read More »
To say I have spent some time in The Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children in Belfast…would be, well, a very large understatement.
For someone with a fairly limited sense of direction, I think I could get from my house to that hospital in my sleep. We have driven down that road at 4am and 4pm, 12am and 12pm and other very ridiculous times. Read More »
Birmingham Children’s Hospital has been like a second home to me over the past decade. Myself and my family have spent many a days (and nights) there, watching movies, waiting for scans, listening to machines bleeping and being treated by the best staff you could wish for. Read More »

Do you give blood?
No? What’s your excuse? Do you have a blood condition? Or take medication? Or have lived abroad in a country which means you can’t give blood?
Or…do you just ‘not get round to it’? Don’t have time? Think it’s painful? Think it’s ‘icky’? Don’t know where you can donate? Don’t think it’s really THAT important? Read More »
So today I have another question for you…When you are filling in those organ donor forms, and they ask you which organs you would like to donate, will you check all the boxes…or are you squeamish about a few?
Will you check yes to your heart? Yes to your eyes? Read More »
Presents. One of my personal favourite parts about Christmas, each year I still get so excited about both getting and giving Christmas presents. Exchanging gifts, you get one – you give one…pretty simple concept. It works, everyone’s happy.
If you are happy to receive a present, you should be willing to give one…agreed? Read More »
