On the third day of Christmas, my donor gave to me…the strength to laugh and dance the night away with friends.
I think back to this time last year, just over three months post transplant, and still not leaving the house very much! Fast forward a year, and because of my donors gift, I am strong enough to dance (in high heels), to laugh with friends and enjoy being a teenager!
The best gift I have ever received is the gift of life, because life brings so much more than just a heart that beats and a liver that works!
Life brings joy and dancing and laughing and late nights and happiness.
Don’t take it for granted. And don’t waste the opportunity to give it to someone else.
Give the best gift, give the gift of life!
